Most shortcuts are disabled when you're typing in input fields. This prevents accidental navigation while entering data. The only exception is Escape, which closes modals even while typing.
Some shortcuts like Ctrl+N are context-aware. They perform different actions depending on which page you're on (create symbol in Watchlist, create alert in Alerts, etc.)
If you're using a Mac, replace Ctrl with Cmd for all shortcuts. For example: Cmd+D to go to Dashboard.
